After a year of Erasmus scholarship in Germany, they decided to play together. In Ingrid’s room in Studentestadt, known as StuSta, kroding was born in the January 2003. Elisa was dancing all-day-long in a dance academy (but she was supposed to be a mathematician) and Ingrid was working as IT in some companies (but she was supposed to be a mathematician!!!!!!!!). At the end of the day they were simply there, in that little room, together, drinking some hot-cinnamon tea, playing without a precise idea of “who what how why”. They try to play everything, even an old violin and a trumpet!!! Some good feeling rised between them: Ingrid played some basis, Elisa improvised solo and melodies following the bit “give the bit boys and free my soul, i wanna get lost in your rock and roll” (from “Drift Away”). They had no scheme, no plan, no preconcept. With the time Elisa wrote some lyrics (posted: “The man who wasn’t there”, “the no fear”, “Fieber”, “A man”, “Filastrocca violenta”, “Come Friend”, “Light Soul”), but when she needed right away some words to follow, not to lose the ispiration, she begann to read water labels, food ingredients label, everything that she could find on the desk and then sometimes poetry (see “the Chat” from Baudelaire); until she found her best words-melodies-ispirator: Bruce Springsteen. That’s why some songs are at the time with the lyrics from Bruce songs (see “drift away”, “dry lightning”, “protection”, “all i need”). But sooner or later they will find their own lyrics for these songs too. They are always happy to play, to sing, to write down own songs, to find the good bit. With some pretty good narcisism they always recorder every single song (almost everytime with bad technologies ;)). But they hope you will enjoy their sounds!!! Actually Ingrid works as IT and Elisa as a scientific researcher in the german space agency.
